Mr. Judson I. Wood
1890 - 1899
Judson I. Wood was graduated from Brown University in 1879. He taught successively in New Shoreham, Rhode Island; Cutchogue, New York; Greenwich, Connecticut, and in the High school of Methuen, Massachusetts, before coming to Ilion as principal in the middle of the year 1889-1890. He remained in Ilion for nearly ten years, during which time the schools continued to grow and prosper. During the last five years he has been superrintendent of schools in Gardner, Massachusetts. Superintendent Wood was also an instructor at the State Summer school, Glen Falls, N. Y., for two years. He has been active in various educational associations.
