BOOTS DAY receives scroll from Ilion high Student Council president Bob Strife at Friday afternoon's baseball clinic in the Ilion high gym. More than 350 students signed the scroll, recognizing Boots' baseball achievements. Bob Whittemore, sports editor of the Oneonta Star, will speak tonight at the "welcome home" banquet for Boots at the Knights of Columbus home in Ilion. Members of Boots' family and his former coaches will be special guests at the 6:30 p.m. affair.
