Awards Given Ilion High Girl Athletes

ILION — Trophies and awards to individuals and teams were presented last night by the Girls Athletic Council of Ilion High School during the annual Awards dessert meeting at the school cafeteria.

C. Jean Maury, who was installed as president during the meeting, presented the awards along with Linda Abeling, outgoing president. Other officers installed were: Barbara Horwald, vice president; Debbie Miller, secretary; Donna Miller, parliamentarian; Margaret Slocum and Mary Ellen Lewis, treasurers.

Trophies to the most outstanding players went to: Jean Maury, field hockey; Linda Abeling, basketball; Pat Tubia, volleyball; Linda Braren, softball; Barbara Bereza, track; Linda Abeling, tennis; Cheryl Waldo and Jean Maury, junior and senior high bowling respectively.

Award pins went to the following winning intramural team members: basketball, Kay Wardle, Linda Abeling, Pat Tubia, Nancy Whitney, Sharon Vandawalker, Elaine Ferguson, Sharon Dibble, Barbara Morse, Pat Urtz.

Also, volleyball, Pam Paragi, Leigh Dibble, Bev Lozo, Carol DeRocco, Linda LaRose, Sue Bachorik, Pat Santmire, Jody Janicki, Dawn Durand, Karen Unsinn.
