Homecoming Set At Ilion High ILION - Alumni and postgraduates of Ilion High School will view a varied assortment of events when they attend the annual Homecoming Week program this weekend, reported Linda Ladd and Theresa DeForrest, co-chairmen. A pep rally at the school gym at 11 a.m. Friday will start the festivities and a king and queen will be selected from the senior class to reign over the weekend activities. At 7 p.m. Friday night a bonfire will be held on the football field. A dummy representing the Herkimer football team will be burned in effigy, and a snake - dance will lead the students into the gym for a dance, they reported. At 1 p.m. Saturday a parade will start at the Knights of Columbus parking lot, ending at the football field. At half time, the king and queen will be honored. Concluding the program will be a dance in the Ilion YMCA sponsored by Beta Chi Rho, with music by the Mersey Side 5.
