Ilion High Informative By Elaine Mutchler - Senior Assembly and Awards - June 13, 1964

lion High seniors are finding the year quickly drawing to a close. The 1964 Mirrors were distributed to seniors at a class meeting last week. Graduation announcements are being handed out. Dress down day and senior assembly are scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.

As usual, the day of the senior class picnic was rainy, but no one's spirits appeared to be dampened as many braved swimming, boating and golf.

Ilion High's Golden Bomber baseball team has advanced to the semi-finals in Section 3 playoffs by defeating Rome 3-2. Good luck to the team who travels to Cooperstown this afternoon.

Congratulations to Terry Sweeney who broke his own record for the mile coming home in 4:23.6 as he helped Ilion retain their Section Three Class B track crown. The team, completing its third undefeated season in a row, also remains champion of the Iroquois League.
