89 to Receive Diplomas At Ilion High Graduation Ilion - The Board of Education last night certified 89 members of the 1945 Ilion High School graduating class as eligible to receive diplomas at commencement exercises tomorrow night in the Capitol Theater, after accepting the report of J. Guy Prindle, principal. The board also appointed Mrs. Mary D. Burke, graduate of Herkimer High School and Albany Teacher's College, as commercial subjects instructor to succeed Mrs. Eleanor Lennan Hopkins, who has been granted a leave of absence until January. Academic diplomas will be awarded to 65 graduates, college entrance diplomas to 23, while one will receive a general diploma at the ceremonies to be addressed by Cameron Beck, personnel director of the New York Stock Exchange for 22 years. They will be presented by Schools Superintendent Earl P. Watkin and Rome D. Worden, Board of Education president. Prindle will award prizes. Miss Marian Day, valedictorian, will speak on "America, Our Future" and Miss Mary Horan, salutatorian, "America, Our Challenge." Academic Diplomas Diplomas recipients:
