2 Ilion Senior Casts Chosen to Give Play

Wealth of Material Gives Class Opportunity for Novel Plan

Ilion - High spot of the year for dramatic students at Ilion High School will be reached when they produce the annual senior play.

Although the offering will not be presented until May the casting was made Friday by Elwyn E. Swarthout director. An unusual feature was the naming of two separate casts to take the parts. One group will perform on opening night and the second the following evening.

Mr. Swarthout stated this method is used at the local school for the first time. It is made possible because of the number of experienced players. All of the 16 seniors have had previous experience in dramatics. William Kennedy will be stage manager. The play is a three-act comedy, "Growing Pains".

The cast for opening night: Dorothy Rice, Theodore Carney, William Myers,. Virginia Christiana, Richard Runyon, Hilda Cowling, Lola Radley, Anna Stasko, Theodore Leonard, Jean McGowan, Cecil Angell, Fred Morton, Glenn Carter, Arthur Applegate, Eleanor Hammett, Margaret Andrua, Betty Limpert, Anastasia Panarites.

Second group: Ann Prindle, Edgar Hunt, Billy Brown, Helen Fullem, James Foreman, Eleanor Aspinall, Thelma Groesbeck, Geraldine Losier, Roy Stubley, Peggy Morgan, Kenneth Bleau, Ralph Hardy, LeRoy Fake, Raymond Bleau, Mary Christopher, Edith Sprague, Clarice Burke and Margaret Kennedy.
