Morris Heads Ilion High Alumni Group ILION - Thomas Morris, class of 1932, waa elected president of the Ilion High School Alumni Association, succeeding Ronald Farrington, at the 75th annual dinner meeting of the group Saturday night in the Elks Home. Other officers will be Martin Cormia, first vice-president; Carl Bleau, second vice-president; Kay Lynch, secretary; all three of the Class of 1932, Robert Urtz, 1937, treasurer; Harold Fear, 1911, necrologist. More than 200 attended the dinner which included individual class reunions within the larger association. Farrington acted as toastmaster. The specially honored group was the class of 1906 on its 50th anniversary. Three members of the class attending were Ray Arnold, North Ilion, Miss Martha Yetmah and Miss Ruth Chatta way. both of New York. The 25-year group, the Class of 1931, was represented by 37 members; the Class of 1926, by 27 members; and the Class of 1921 by 25 members. Principal speaker was Thomas Cook, Class of 1931, an executive with W. R. Grace Inc., and speaking briefly were Joseph Baker, principal of Ilion High School, and George Purple superintendent of Ilion Schools. Mrs. Jean Comstock introduced the new officers.
