Ilion Graduate Gains High Colgate Average to Make Dean's List

Grover W. Radley

Ilion - Grover W. Radley Jr., Ilion student at Colgate University, was included in a list of 45 students who have obtained the 3.6 average necessary to meet qualifications for the dean's list.

Announcement of the honor was made in this week's issue of The Maroon, college periodical.

Dean Kallgren in announcing the list, pointed out the qualifications are higher thatn the minimum requirements for a Phi Beta Kappa rating.

The young man was an honor student at Ilion High School where he won the N. Y. State scholarship and several other awards. He ranked third his graduating year.

During his freshman year at Colgate, he won the Austen Colgate scholarship, carrying a cash value of $1,000. He now is majoring in history.
