Howard E. Ross

ILION - Howard E. Ross, age 65, of 4 Church St., Kinderbook, NY, formerly of Ilion, a retired school teacher, died suddenly Wednesday [April 25, 1929] in Hudson, NY.

He was born in Ilion, son of Gustave and Magdalena Latt Ross. He was a graduate of Ilion High School and the University of Buffalo. Mr. Ross was a former high school principal in Royalton, Minnesota and until his retirement a few years ago taught in the Hudson High School.

He is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Chester (Carrie) Henri of Utica, Miss Gertrude Ross of Ilion, Miss Anna E Ross and Miss Irene Ross, both of Kinderhook. NY; one brother, Dr. Harold G. Ross of Utica.

Funeral services will be held Saturday from the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home, Ilion, at 9 a m and at 9:30 from Annunciation Church. Burial will be in St Agnes Cemetery. Ilion Calling hours Friday evening only from 7 to 9 Arrangements by the John G Ackley Funeral Home.
