Schwartz, ...which the close of this term terminates his connection with the Ilion schools after over 13 years of initiative and excellent service. This was the 11th class to which he has presented diplomas and in doing so took the opportunity to say farewell to the students, the parents, the faculty, and the people of Ilion to which he paid tribute. Also, to his successor, he said the Ilion people demanded good schools and he had faith enough in their judgment to feel that they would continue to have them as the leaving of one or more would not affect the system that it has taken years to build up. Mr. Schwartz will leave Ilion with regret as it is here he has spent the best efforts and years of his life and has made many loyal friends. His remarks to the graduating class were in the coming of obstacles and if each student will weigh his words well, good results should follow in their future life. Benediction was pronounced by Ref. James Slatword and as the guests were leaving, "The Golden ..." was played by the High School Orchestra. The decorations of the auditorium were most favorably commented upon and were beautiful, being the same decorations used on the evening of the Senior Prom.
