Rev. Thomas Scott Receives Appointment

The Rev. Thomas K, Scott, acting pastor of the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, Mohawk, for the past several months, during the absence of Rev. James Brennock, has been named assistant at St. Francis de Sales Church, West Albany, by the Most Rev. .... Gibbons, Bishop of Albany.

Father Scott, son of Mrs. Anna Scott, 17 River St. Ilion served 21 months overseas during the war as a Navy chaplain aboard the air craft carrier, Sangamon. He also served at the Hacsonville, Fla., naval air station, receiving his discharge a year ago.

He is a graduate of Ilion High School and Niagara University, and was ordained in 1929 in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Albany.

After serving in several Albany area parishes, he acted as chaplain in the Civilian Conservation Corps until it was abandoned in 1941. He then served as assistant at the Church of Our Lady of Good Counsel in Roxbury.
