GRAUATING EXERCISES WILL BE HELD IN BUILDING TO-NIGHT

The above cut shows the fine hew high school of Ilion of which the citizens are justly proud. The formal occupancy of the auditorium will take place this evening when the commencement exercise of the graduating class be held.

The above cut shows the fine hew high school of Ilion of which the citizens are justly proud. The formal occupancy of the auditorium will take place this evening when the The proposition to build the school was voted upon May 10, 1912, appropriating $95,000 for its construction. Fuller & Robinson of Albany were the architects; Edward Redford of White Plains the contractor. The electrical work was done by the J. A. M. Company of Utica; the plumbing by Thomas Breen Company of Utica; the furnishings were supplied by Randolph McNutt of Buffalo and the heating was installed by Gaylord & Eltapence of Scranton, Pa. the building is of white pressed brick with Indiana limestone trimming. It stands over Otsego street, just on West Street and the ground comprise four acres. The grounds will be beautified and placed in the best condition by fall, when the building will be formally opened just before the school term with appropriate exercises. Commissioner of Education Finley is expected to attend the exercises. There are 11 teachers and a superintendent of the faculty and the school has capacity for 400 students. The auditorium will seat [650?].
