Dr. VanderPoel ILION - Dr. Everett Cole VanderPoel, 73, of 71 South Third Ave., a Utica dentist retiring in 1964, died yesterday in Faxton Hospital. Utica. He was born Feb 8, 1907, the son of Perry and Kate Brown VanderPoel. He was educated at Ilion High School, Syracuse University, Syracuse University's Dental College and the Sorbonne University, Paris, France. He married Frances Greenidge on July 28, 1956 in Utica Mrs. VanderPoel died in 1970. Dr. VanderPoel was a member of Westminster Church, Utica Delta Sigma Delta fraternity and the Holland Society of New York. He was a Shriner, a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Utica Masonic Lodge. He was a member of the state and national dental societies. Surviving Dr. VanderPoel are one brother, Herbert, of Leesburg, Fla., and one cousin, Col. William Hannay, of Albany. The funeral service will be held at 11a.m. Monday from the Applegate Funeral Home, with Dr. P. Arthur Brindisi officiating. Interment will be in Armory Hill Cemetery.
