Alumni Banquet Set For June 25 At High School

The annual banquet of the Ilion High school Alumni Association will be held on June 25 in the school it was announced today.

The 50th reunion of the Class of '91 and the 25th reunion of the class of '16 will be observed at the same time.

Joseph Carney, former Ilion native and recently of Shanghai will be the guest speaker at the reunion District Attorney Carl Peterson, president, announced today. Mr. Carney will speak on the Chinese situation.

Carney, who was affiliated with the Standard Oil Company in China for the past 30 years, recently returned to this country. Previous to leaving for the U. S. he was injured in a tax demonstration in the International Settlement in Shanghai. He is a graduate of the class of '06, Ilion High school.

Guests of honor will be Miss Loretta Douglass, former high school principal; Supt. of Schools, Earl P. Watkhv and Mrs. Watkin and present high school principal, John Guy Prindle and Mrs. Prindle. Dinner will be served in the school gym at 6:30 and will be followed by roll call of the classes.
