William Mulvey also graduated from Ilion High School in 1919. William Mulvey was born Oct.30, 1902 in Wilkinsberg, Pa., a son of Michael and Phoebe Roulx Mulvey. His parents moved to Ilion in 1908. He graduated from Ilion High School in 1922 with his brother, Robert. William also attended the Albany College of Pharmacy and graduated along with his brother, Robert, in 1924.
William, at one time, was employed by Howard Hall in the Baker Pharmacy and also worked for local druggist, George Carney. He later was manager for Liggitt's Pharmacy, both in Utica, and then the Carrol Drug Company, in Albany.
William changed careers in the 1930s. He was employed, as a time study engineer, with Remington Rand Shaver Division in Ilion and then as a methods and standards engineer at Remington Arms. In 1952, he was awarded a 16 year service pin by the Remington Arms. In 1955, William joined his brother Robert, at the Mulvey Pharmacy.

William A Mulvey, 58, of 134 John St., a local pharmacist died yesterday in the Ilion hospital after a long illness. Mr. Mulvey was a partner for the past five years in the Mulvey Medical Center Pharmacy, Otsego St., with his brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mulvey.
Mr. Mulvey at one time was associated with Howard Hall in the Baker Pharmacy here and with George Carney, local druggist. He later was manager for Liggitts Pharmacy, both in Utica, and then the Carrol Drug Co., in Albany.
He had also been employed as a time study engineer with Remington Rand Shaver Division here and then as a methods and standards engineer at Remington Arms before joining his brother in the local pharmacy.
He was a communicant of the Church of Annunciation and was a member of the Kappa Psi Fraternity.
Surviving is another brother, Phillp M., Ilion; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Butler, Watertown, Mrs. John Scanlon, Ilion, several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Services will be conducted at 8:30 a.m., Thursday from the Applegate Funeral Home and at 9 am from the Church of Annunciation where a Solemn Requiem High Mass will be celebrated, with burial in St. Agnes Cemetery in the spring.
