Reverend James B. Gilloon, the youngest of ten children, was born in the city of Cohoes, N.Y., October 8, 1860. His parents were Patrick Gilloon and Jane Kerr. James Gilloon was educated in the Public Schools of Cohoes; then entered St. Michael's College, Toronto. Under his leadership as pastor of Annunciation Parish, Annunciation School became a reality in 1926. Fr. Gilloon died, at Annunciation Rectory, May 27, 1936 and was buried on Memorial Day in St. Agnes Cemetery.
