Class Year

1927 - Held at the West Hill School Gym which was decorated in the Class Colors of Light Blue and Gold

1928 - A tea dance was held as a preliminary to the Prom to stimulate interest in dancing

1950s - The Senior Proms were held in JUNE

1974 - The Class of 1975 breaks with tradition.... instead of selecting the Queen of the Prom from the Senior girls in attendance, the Class of 1975 picks one of their own (Elaine Sullivan) to reign as Prom Queen. Subsequently, the Class of 1974 never had a Prom Queen of their own.

1979 - The centerpiece fountain leaked all evening

1981 - The Queen's crown was misplaced and LouAnn Brien reigned crownless

1988 - The Garter Ceremony was first introduced

1993 - Twin Ponds Country Club is the site of the prom
