Remington Statue Relocated ILION - Eliphalet Remington II got a new home today. A bronze statue of the first Remington gun maker was removed from the Remington Arms Museum, which donated it, and placed in a glass encasement in the Ilion Central Plaza. A replica of the first Remington Forge that was located in the Ilion Gorge from 1846 to 1925 will also be showcased in the plaza. The firm is now located on Hoefler Avenue. Remington is the oldest gun maker in America and one of the leading firearms manufacturers in the world. The statue of Remington was forged in 1916 The glass enclosure is protected by an alarm system designed by Central Security Systems, Ilion.
