Ilion Trophies Given to 5 Top Youths

ILION — Trophies and awards were presented to five outstanding graduates of Ilion Central High School during the traditional final senior class assembly yesterday afternoon.

Receiving the honors were:
Rodney Ross, Varsity Club Unsung Hero Award;
Richard Crossett, Rocky Cramer Memorial Trophy;
Allan Conley, Leo Golicki "Competitive Spirit Trophy";
Louis Spencer, Frank Lyons Frienship Cup;
Beverly Seaman Outstanding Senior Girl Athletic Award.

The presentations were made by Principal Leo Sammon, sports director Joseph Sorge, girl's physical education instructor, Mrs. Marjorie Pett and Carol Putnam of the senior class.

Miss Putnam led the flag salute, welcomed the students and introduced class officers, advisers and Yearbook advistors.

Miss Putnam also presented George Purple, superintendent of schools, a silver punch bowl set for the school in behalf of the senior class.
