Ilion Girls Win Honors Among Seniors

ILION - Two girls have won the Ilion High School Senior Class honors this year, it was announced at an assembly program at the school yesterday.

Margaret L. Wood was named valedictorian, Lorita F. Keddell salutatorian of the 1O8 - member graduating class.

Principal Robert H. Hall, who made the announcement, also listed among the top ten students:

Lynne L. Purple, 92.290;
Patricia A. Morris. 92.040;
Sandra J. Costello. 91.286;
Pamela B. Barnes, 91.219;
Patricia E. Pendergrass, 90.373;
Jean A. Loftis. 89.914;
Mary Ann Grygiel, 89.572;
and
James F. Mullen, 89.566.

Miss Wood, whose average was 94.537, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter B. Wood, 424 Otsego St.

Miss Keddell, who had an average of 93.293, is the daughter ofMr. and Mrs. Francis W. Keddell, 174 W. State St.

Hall also listed three winners of State Regents Scholarships, as announced in The Telegram Monday. They are Miss Keddell, Patricia Morris and James Mullin. Nancy Clark received a scholarship for children of disabled or deceased veterans of the armed services and Maureen Mason, Paul Lacey and Edward Vernooy were named alternates in Herkimer county for Regents Scholarships.
