Ilion Athletes Receive Awards At An Assembly

Supt. Earl P. Watkin Gives Talk to Students
Prin. J. B. Prindle Is Heard
Forty Persons Get Letters in Sports, Debating

Ilion, June 17 - The senior students of the high school held their last assembly at the school this morning and addresses bearing on their leaving school were- made by Superintendent Earl P. Watktn and Principal J. G. Prindle. Final examinations will begin Monday morning and will continue all week.

Letters in track, baseball, girls' basketball and debate were awarded to 40 pupils in the assembly which was attended by the coaches and faculty. The certificate were presented by Ronald Ward, president of the Students' Council who won letters in both track and baseball.

The complete list of letter students, include the following: Track - Ronald Ward, Richard Parkinson, Hubert Mason, Fred Davis, Donald Suits, Carl Bleau, Louis Kelly, Robert Eckler, Nick Lampros, Ross Raymond.

Baseball - Capt. John McCarthy, Edward Manion, Edward Owens, Lester Edwards, William Smith, Robert Pederson, Donald Perry, Kenneth Shea, Ronald Ward, Walter Johns, Hayden Williams, John Hodum, Manager William Ludwig.

Girls' Basketball - Capt. Edith Maraline Cox, Manager Edith Houser, Ruth Hollister, Leona Christiana, Mary Kaune, Jeanette Ashton, Lillian Hunter, Ellen Williams.

Debate - Alice Rockwell, Thomas Morris, Robert Cosman, John Kennedy, Englert Smith, James O'Connor, Elma Sharer.
