Francis H. Brennan

ILION - Francis H. Brennan, age 83, of 36 Second Ave., died Friday, July 24, 1987, at Mohawk Valley General Hospital.

He was born on July 22, 1904, in Ilion, the son of John E. and Margaret Hayes Brennan. Mr. Brennan graduated from Ilion High School and Yale University. He was a Veteran of WW II, serving in the U.S. Navy as a Lieutenant Commander. For several years, Mr. Brennan was employed at the Remington Arms Co. He was a member of the Church of the Annunciation and the Yale Club in N.Y.C.

Survivors include his daughter Mrs. William (Barbara) Mathews, of Lakeland, FL; his sister, Eleanor M. Brennan, of Ilion; two grandchildren, Alison and Jeffrey Mathews, of Lakeland, FL; and several cousins.

Funeral services will be held 9:30 a.m., Monday, at the Applegate Funeral Home, Ilion, and 10 a.m. at the Church of the Annunciation, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Patrick Butler. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Town of Herkimer. Calling hours are Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9.
