Won Scholarships Five of the 13 university scholarships awarded by the State this year from Herkimer County are from this village. Each scholarship carries a State grant of $400 per year for four years and the winner may attend any registered college in this State, except that the student is no allowed to pursue professional course. The Ilion students and averages are: Miss Mary Gilchrist, 92.36; Miss Hilda Shaul, 90.76; Miss Milfdred Pearl Jenne, 87.19; James Norris Wilfort, 78.70; Fred J. Gerber, 76.46.
