The Class of '99

Graduating Exercises June 20th --- Class Day Exercises June 21st --- 21 Graduates

The graduating exercises will occur Tuesday evening, June 20th. The class day exercises will take place Wednesday evening, June 21st. only the immediate relatives of the class, the Board of Education and the faculty will be invited to attend the class day exercises which will consist of the address of the president of the class, Raymond Whitmore, the poem by Caroline Tefft, the prophecy by Bertha Irons and the history by Myra Trowbridge. Refreshments will be served. The toast mistress is Flora Avery. Several interesting and appropriate toasts will be given. Thompson's orchestra will furnish music.

There will probably be twenty-one graduates to appear Tuesday evening. Two have been excused from taking part, Grace Skinner and Flora Avery. The poet, prophet and historian will have no essay, so that sixteen lads and lasses will have parts Tuesday evening. There are to be some interesting innovations by the class of '00. Some of these will be left for the audience to discover.

The Eastman Business College has offered four certificates to the four in the opinion of impartial judges shall have the best parts on the program. These certificates will give to the possessor the privilege of getting from Eastman Business College by correspondence or attendance tuition to the value of $35, $30, $25 and $15 respectively. Seats will be reserved as usual.

Few classes have done better work than the class of '99. It is expected that they will make a good showing in their final exercises. One thing is sure, the subjects are such a character as to admit of original work by the class; it is therefore hoped that the class of '99 as a whole will present to the people essays and orations that speakers themselves have written.
