Leland Quinlavin - IHS 1909 - PharmacistLeland Quinlavin graduated from Ilion High School in 1909. In 1913, he was the valedictorian of the Albany College of Pharmacy Class of 1913. Leland and his college classmate, Chester Weeks, purchased a drug store in Herkimer in 1915. They bought a drug store business, located on South Washington street in Herkimer, from Joseph Delahunt. Mr. Quinlavin had worked at the store, for a number of years, prior to the purchase. Later, he bought the Herkimer Sauer Drug store in 1936.
