A historic Ilion landmark and home to Ilion alumni was purchased this August 2020. The mansion was built by Thomas Richardson who was a prominent Ilion businessman and member of the School Board of Education. It was the home of his daughters, Carrie Richardson - Ilion Academy Valedictorian 1878, Jennie Richardson MD. - Ilion Academy 1878, Lilian Richardson Shepherd - Ilion Academy 1885, and son, Arleigh Richardson - Ilion Academy 1882. It was later occupied by his grandson, Thomas Shepherd, IHS 1919 and his great-grandsons, Thomas R. Shepherd II and Colin Shepherd, IHS 1965.
