This path leads to the HorseShoe Road in Russell Park. Four generations of Ilion residents can be grateful for the generosity of Samuel T. Russell for his gift of over 160 acres of woodland to our village. In 1924, it became Albert N. Russell Park, a memorial to his father, "to be used forever for park and recreation purposes."

See the History of Russell Park and The Herkimer County GenWeb site - Ilion Recreation and Sports for more information on this village landmark.

The winner was Anne Paestella Clive IHS 1968.
