This landmark is The Remington Memorial Chapel which is adjacent to The Methodist Episcopal Church. Philo Remington served on the original building committee for the erection of The Methodist Episcopal Church. The church was completed and dedicated January 3, 1886. In 1890, Mrs. Caroline Remington, in remembrance of her husband, Philo Remington, built and presented to the Church The Remington Memorial Chapel.
