The 11th annual, Ilion Days Doo Dah parade was held on July 25th, 1997.
The parade is a takeoff of the famous annual Doo Dah Parade held in Pasadena, California. 1997s Ilion Doo Dah parade theme was a "Salute to Sports". Anyone could enter the parade, even at the last minute.

The 1997 line up was quite impressive and entertained the thousands who gathered along the parade route. Some entries included the Decorated Baby Buggies, bands, wild groups and the usual - 'the unusual'.

The 1997 DooDah Parade Grand Marshall was NASCAR driver Rick Mast, with The Remington Arms, Ford Thunderbird, stockcar. Rick Mast is partnered with The Remington Arms Company, the primary sponsor until the year 2000. |
