The Class of 2002 would like to dedicate our yearbook to Mrs. White. Mrs. White, who graduated from Ilion herself in 1969, came back to Ilion High School in 1987to work in the principal's office. Since then, she has come to mean much more than a secretary to all of us. One could not find a kinder or warmer soul. Upon entering the office, she always finds a way to make you laugh or smile even when she's overloaded with work. Being in charge of all the accounts for every club in school, Mrs. White is extremely important, yet has never disappointed anybody. She is very well-organized and always gets checks or orders done in a timely manner. Also, she has gone above and beyond in helping the Class of2002. We might not have had any Homecoming floats if it wasn't for her. From getting us a flatbed to lending her keen expertise to our plans, she brought our floats to a new level. We don't know what we would have done with out her.

Several years ago, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Still, it was not uncommon to see her in school several days a week. She may have been tired and weak, but she would do her best to get her work done and not let anyone down. Mrs. White has been fighting the disease with the same determination she has always used in her job and life,and we all pray that she will eventually beat this disease for good.

The entire community is indebted to Mrs.White for her devotion and commitment to Ilion High School and its staff and students.
