Ilion High Informative - By Suzanne Backman Ilion High has been throbbing with activity this week. Some of the results will be seen this weekend. Tonight, from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. the Boys' Gymnasium will be transformed into a "Frosted Fantasy." Take a close look, though, and you will see that the change was not as magical as it may seem. For weeks, members of the Senior Class have been working diligently to present the annual Christmas Ball. Couples will dance to the music of The Mohicans midst a wintry scene. On Monday, Dec. 21, at 8 o'clock, the Music Department will present its annual Christmas concert. Orpheus Choir, under the direction of Mrs. J. Poplaski, will sing "The Song of Christmas"; The Bells girls ensemble will sing "Sleigh Ride," "White Christmas," "The Christmas Song," and "I Wonder as I Wander." Two Junior High organizations, Girls Choir and the Mixed Ensemble, directed by Miss P. Frazer, will also perform. The High School orchestra, conducted by Mr. John Turner, will also present selections. "Goodnight, Please," a one act play by James L. Daggett, will be presented on Dec. 22 at 11:30 a.m. and at 1 p.m. by the Dramatics Club. Jim Patrei leads the cast of Eileen Strait, Mary Ann Kroll, John Bullis, Jack Miller, Wayne Kencharek, and Nancy Parker. The play will be directed by Mr. Jay Price, with costume, make-up, and props by Miss Suzanne Ford.
