Ilion High Informative - By Elaine Mutchler Congratulations to the Varsity and Junior Varsity cheerleaders who were chosen last week. Varsity members are: Jane Lacy, Diane Bottini, Jana Danforth, Linda Braren, Judy Gray, Sandy Santmire, and Patty Bouck, first alternate. The Junior Varsity squad is comprised of; Pat Trevor, Mary Carney, Joan Withington, Barb Alexander, Sharon Dibble, Betsy Morris and Marsha Davidson, first alternate. The juniors, under capable co-chairman Kathy Hoffman and Greg Patrei are busy preparing for their prom "Through the Looking Glass" to be presented on May 23. On Thursday, May 7, Student Council held an assembly for the final campaign activities. Nominated in the primaries: Candidates from the Gold Party - Dan McGrellis, president; Betsy Morris, vice president; Joan Withington, secretary; and Sue Getman, treasurer; made their final speeches. Brown Party candidates - Bob Scheinder, president; Nick Maneen, vice president; Peggy Getman, secretary; and Linda Brown, treasurer; also addressed the assembly. Bob and Dan outlined their party platforms and the last bits of campaigning were presented. The final balloting took place on Friday, so this week the winners will be announced. Congratulations to the track team who swamped Little Falls last week! There was not a frown to be seen anywhere when the announcement was made that Ilion students and faculty will have a holiday on May 29.
