Methods of Updating Class News
- You can email me, Aileen Carney Sweeney, with periodic text-based only messages. Include "Alumni Class Page Update" in the subject of your email message. Also, include the Class Year in the Subject of the email message. Include a phone number, where you can be reached for any possible questions.
- If you want to maintain a home page, which can be reached from this GeoCities website, create the pages and email the url to me with a note asking for a link. You must follow GeoCities guidelines on content.
- If you want to maintain a home page, stake a claim at Yahoo! GeoCities and get your own Free Home Page. You'll receive at least 3 meg of FREE server space - all that it takes is a valid email address. Send the GeoCities url, of your class news to me with a note asking for a link.
- If you are an AOL subscriber, you can find out more about Creating Web Pages on your AOL Account. Kristin Lennox Fahey, email address KLF1013@aol.com, is the Official Home Page Class Editor for the Class of 1984! She assumed maintenance responsiblity for the 1984 Class page. Visit the new 1984 Class page.
Kris created the Class of 1984 Homepage using Personal Publisher from America Online, Inc..
Netscape Communicator, (my personal favorite) the new version of their browser, contains a component called Netscape Composer.
It's "...an easy-to-use tool that makes creating HTML-based documents as easy as writing a
memo with a word processor.
HTML, or Hypertext Markup Language, describes how words and images should
be displayed on a web page or in an email message. Like a word processor, Composer uses fonts,
styles, paragraphs, and lists, and includes an integrated spelling checker.
Composer publishes, or uploads, documents to an intranet or Internet document
server with a single button click. Composer is fully integrated with other Netscape Communicator components. AND it's FREE!" (Updated November 8, 1997)
If you are a current Class Home Page Editor for your graduating class, please update Aileen Carney Sweeney if you can no longer maintain the home page. (Is that a Remington typewriter?)
