If we've missed a production, please pass along the
information and we'll include it. Maybe your mother threw out your baseball card collection, but we KNOW she kept the program from your high school musical collection! You can email it to Aileen Sweeney or photocopy the playbill and send it to Aileen Sweeney, 197 Old Forge Road, Ilion, NY 13357
Students at Ilion High School, throughout the years, have used many venues to show their
talents. The one venue that shines, from year to year, is the IHS musical production.
Set design, choreography, makeup and costume design, acting, dancing, musical and singing skills of the students all come together for three magical performances.
Presentations of dramatic productions and readings date back to Ilion's early history.
The Senior Class and Tri-City plays were annual events from the 1930's. However, the last four decades have been the era of the Broadway showstoppers. These extravaganzas
would not have been possible without the great community spirit found in Ilion.
Industrial Art teachers build props, such a merry-go-rounds, parents use
McCalls patterns to whip out costumes, local businesses print tickets and the rest of the community provides the much deserved applause.
From the first rehearsal to the cast party, Ilion students discover how success
can be achieved through a combination
of discipline, team work, natural talent and creativity. To this day,
the roar of the greaspaint continues to lure Ilion's students. Encore!
