The annual Junior-Senior prom was again a success, drawing around 125 couples, including many guests. Among the patrons and patronesses were Dr. and Mrs. Robert Luke, Mr. and Mrs. John Guy Prindle, Mr. and Mrs. Elwyn Swarthout, and Mr. and Mrs. Leo Powers.
The gym was transformed from its drab bareness into a cool spring garden, which contained and old-fashioned well from which punch was served.
The custom of having a "Queen of the Prom" was again carried out, although no one knew about it until he arrived at the dance. Merriell Thayer was selected for this honor, and she was presented with a crown and a bouquet of flowers. She was chosen by a majority vote. Marjorie Day and Shirley Padgham also received a large number of votes and were the queen's attendants.
Everyone that attended had an extremely good time and will soon start looking forward to next year's prom.
